Training & Consulting

We Train Your Team

Custom training sessions and consulting using DISC, Emotional Quotient, and Driving Forces assessments. We come to your location or deliver virtually.

Training & Consulting Tailored to Your Organization

Every engagement starts with your goals — not a pre-built curriculum. Everything we do is custom to your needs under four main areas: communication, team building, leadership development, and emotional intelligence. Conflict resolution, customer service, and sales effectiveness get woven into sessions where they're relevant.

Sessions

Training Sessions

Facilitated sessions with clear learning objectives — built around your team's real challenges. We use DISC, EQ, and Driving Forces assessments to give your people a shared language for communicating, leading, and working together.

Areas we cover: communication (DISC, Driving Forces & EQ), team building, leadership development, and emotional intelligence.

Consulting

When something isn't working and you're not sure why, consulting starts with asking questions and listening — then providing solutions together. That often leads to training, but the first step is figuring out the real problem.

Common challenges: team dysfunction, new leaders leading for the first time, hiring strategy, and organizational transition and change.

What a Typical Engagement Looks Like

01

Conversation

We start with a call to understand your situation — what's going on with your team, what you've tried, and what success looks like for you.

02

Custom Plan

Based on your goals, we design a plan. That might be a half-day session, a full-day session, a virtual series, or an ongoing consulting project with check-ins.

03

Delivery & Follow-Up

We facilitate the session, debrief the results, and make sure your team can apply what they learned. Most clients see improved communication, better team dynamics, more self-awareness, and less conflict.

Who Hires Us

We work with organizations of all sizes and types.

Corporate Teams

Large, fast-moving organizations where developed leaders and clear communication separate the teams that perform from the ones that stall.

Government Agencies

Public-sector teams building their next bench of leaders — often long-tenured staff who've never had a shared language for how they work together.

Educational Institutions

Colleges, universities, and school systems developing leaders and helping faculty and staff actually understand one another.

Small Businesses

Growing companies where every hire matters and someone has to get the whole team rowing in the same direction.

The ideal group size for a session is 10–25 people, but we've facilitated sessions for as few as 4 and as many as 200+. For larger organizations, we often run multiple sessions across different groups.

How Pricing Works

Let's Talk

Talk to Our Team
What's the difference between training and certification?
Training is when we work directly with your organization to train and grow your team — communication, team building, leadership development. Sessions can be delivered on-site at your location or virtually. Certification is a separate program where individuals become qualified to facilitate, debrief, and train assessments with their own clients and teams. Many organizations start with training and later have someone on their team get certified so they can deliver it internally.
What assessments do you use in training sessions?
We use DISC, Emotional Quotient, and Driving Forces depending on your needs. Most organizations start with DISC for communication and team dynamics. If emotional intelligence or motivation are priorities, we incorporate EQ or Driving Forces. We can also use combined assessments like Talent Insights® or TriMetrix® EQ for a more complete picture.
Do you offer virtual training?
Yes. We offer live virtual sessions in 2-hour, 3-hour, and 4-hour formats, and longer formats are available for multi-day engagements or intensive deep-dives. The content and facilitation are the same as in-person — your team completes assessments online beforehand, we send the reports to each participant, and we facilitate the live session together via Teams or Zoom. Virtual works well for distributed teams, organizations with multiple locations, and situations where travel isn't practical. Leadership Resources and Consulting has delivered virtual sessions for teams across the country. If you want to combine virtual with in-person (for example, one live kickoff on-site and follow-up sessions virtual), we can structure that as well. Contact us to scope an engagement.
How much does training cost?
Training is priced per day plus assessments per person, with travel expenses added for on-site sessions. Consulting engagements are project-based rather than day-rate, since the scope depends on what we're helping you work through. Because every engagement is customized to your team size, goals, and format (virtual, in-person, or hybrid), we provide a quote after an initial conversation rather than publishing fixed pricing. Most organizations find the conversation useful even before deciding, because it surfaces the real question — how much training do you need, and what mix of assessments and sessions fits your budget. Contact us for a quote and we'll respond same day within business hours.
How do I know if we need training or consulting?
Training is a facilitated process with clear learning objectives — your team walks away with specific skills, a shared behavioral language, and practical tools they can apply the next day. Consulting is when something isn't working and you need help figuring out why — we ask questions, listen, assess the dynamic, and develop solutions together, which often involves training as one piece of the solution alongside structural or process change. If you know what you want your team to learn, it's training. If you're not sure what's wrong or why the team isn't performing, it's consulting. Leadership Resources and Consulting helps figure out which approach fits in our initial conversation — many engagements combine both. Reach out to talk it through.
How long is a typical training session?
There isn't really a "typical" length — sessions run anywhere from a 2-hour virtual format to multi-day in-person engagements, with plenty of configurations in between. Virtual sessions aren't capped at 2 hours either; we run 3-hour, 4-hour, and multi-session virtual programs when the content or team size calls for it. Shorter sessions work well for focused topics like communication fundamentals or a single assessment debrief. Longer sessions and multi-day engagements are better for full leadership development arcs, in-depth team dynamics work, or engagements that combine several assessments across a group. The format depends on your team's size, what you want them to walk away with, and how much time you can protect on their calendar. We'll help you pick the right length once we understand your team's size and goals. Contact us to scope it.
